An ancient and world-famous monumental complex built by Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century A.D., who made it his residence, the ruins of which represent a very important historical heritage and a testimony to the great skill of the Romans in the construction of buildings. The archaeological site was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. The Country Resort is located in the immediate vicinity.
